SODEXO STOP HUNGER FOUNDATION

Stop Hunger was created in 1996 by US Sodexo colleagues who witnessed children going to school with an empty stomach. Sodexo then picked up this local initiative and now Sodexo’s Stop Hunger Foundation is active in 40 countries around the world. The Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation UK and Ireland is anon-profitorganisation relying on a network of local and national charitiesworkingtowardsahunger-freeworld.

Since 2010, the Stop Hunger Foundation has donated more than £3.4 million to charities tackling food insecurity.

According to the UN, about 8.4 million people are currently suffering from food insecurity in the UK. In the UK and Ireland, Sodexo volunteers work alongside charities and organisations, donating time, skills, and money to tackle food insecurity, and promote life skills in local communities.

Thanks to the financial support of Sodexo,100% of the donationsmade to Stop Hunger go directly to financing activitiesand sustainable solutions to support themost disadvantagedlocal communities and empowerwomen,whorepresentthe most effectivesolutionineliminatinghunger - either by providing emergency support, but also trying to find sustainable ways for individuals not to face food insecurity.
